Thu Oct 13 10:00 pmMy Disco lives all the way in Australia, and they are one of my favorite bands. Their record "Little Joy" is just so, so good. I highly recommend buying it and listening to nothing else for the next several months. Also, this was one of the crazier shoots we've ever done. MD's van broke down in Louisville and they weren't able to get on the road until around 6:30pm or so, and it's a 6+ hour drive to Birmingham. I had to keep reassuring the rest of the crew that, yes, it would be a very late night, but it would be totally worth it. At around midnight or so, we set a 1:00am cutoff. If they don't manage to show up by then, we were just going to have to call it off (which would have been a gigantic bummer). Thankfully, they finally rolled in at around 1:05, hurriedly loaded in, played a brief but totally awesome set, which we present to you in its entirety here. Enjoy.
