A lot of the people we interview for the docs are fairly old and, more than once, the subject has died just a few weeks before we were scheduled to interview them. As sad as it is, we occasionally joke that we have a tendency to kill people with our documentaries. Apparently, WHS has the same effect on Birmingham bands. It seems like most of the bands that we've decided to shoot have totally fallen apart right around the time we decided it would be a good idea to shoot them. Mt. St. Mtn. was nice enough to keep playing long enough for us to record them, but they went on one of those "indefinite hiatuses" about 6 weeks after the shoot. This was almost two years ago. They were (are?) a really good band. If you run into any of these guys, I encourage you to insist that they start playing together again.
